WebOn.TV Podcast Episode #2

Episode2 image

Welcome to the 2nd podcast episode of WebOn.TV The show that helps you to bring the Multimedia Power of the Internet into your living room and onto your mobile devices.

In this second episode we talk about content delivery.  I had intended to jump right into content but we are going to save that for next week so that we can spend a bit of time talking about content delivery and in particular all of the different video resolutions that you find on both HDTV’s and on mobile devices.

See an actual comparison in video between the first ever YouTube video from 5 years ago and and a 1080p high definition video which is what YouTube is capable or streaming today. Be sure to post your comments as your feedback is both welcome and appreciated.

Cheers Jesse Jameson

The Google 1Gigabit Community Project

In Next weeks podcast we talk about both Content, and a bit about the infrastructure that delivers it.

In this video James Kelly the Product Manager on Google’s infrastructure team talks about this amazing high speed project that will be rolling out to a very lucky community. Google will announce the community or communities by the end of the year.

Media Convergence – Changes to content delivery

As Sunday Morning celebrates its 30th anniversary, Jeff Greenfield contemplates media convergence — how in this day and age, news and video can be streamed anyplace, anywhere, and anytime.

Welcome to the Launch of WebOn.TV

WebOn.TV is all about bringing Internet Multimedia Content to your living room on the Big Screen HDTV, and out onto your Mobile Devices.

The days of traditional television programming are nearing an end.  We are in the midst of a great media convergence where the lines between Radio, Television and Internet are beginning to fade.  Eventually the internet will be the primary content delivery method.

WebOn.TV Editor and Podcast Host

My name is Jesse Jameson and I am the host of the podcast show and the editor of this website.  And while I am here to moderate and help grow a community; neither this site, or the podcast is about me other than sharing my viewpoint on topics discussed.  My vision for the value that this site will provide is far greater than what I can contribute alone, so expect to see additional content contributors to both the site and to the show within the coming months.

WebOn.TV is a News Source, Blog, and an Audio/Video Podcast Show that keeps you informed about changes on the Internet Content Delivery front.  You can expect regular reviews on devices that allow you to watch streaming internet content on your television and mobile devices that you can use to enjoy content when your out and about.

We will also showcase content that you may not have known existed, as there is so much new content becoming available all the time.

Your feedback will help to drive the direction of future content so be sure to add your comments to let us know your thoughts.
